Even though I’m sticking with the Sims 3, the way some facial features are “aging” drives me crazy, and I’d be curious to see this will work inthe Sims 4.
See how this “too short nose” boy gets this “nose too close of the mouth” man by aging up. This is no sense. (random Sim & clothes)
Reblog if you don’t plan on leaving The Sims 3
I’m sad because a lot of blogs I like are choosing TS4 and completely dropping TS3. I just want to know if at least some people are sticking with TS3 or both TS3 and TS4
I’ve just started a new town as the first one was getting too crowded after 5 years of gameplay there, so I’m planning to play the Sims 3 as my main game for at least the five next years! ;D
Around the Sims 3 | Shop Shutters
These have been on my “to-do” list for almost two years! With some shops closing in my first Sims town, plus the new town I’m building, they finally became “urgent”! :D
The shop shutters are categorized as curtains, and work the same: they won’t prevent your Sims to get through, so it’s better to use on windows. If you use on doors, be sure to lock it. The metal shutters come in several variations with graffitis or ads pasted on them.
Basic, but useful! ;)
(the preview picture is crappy, I’m sorry… *blush*)
Hi again Ani! Do you remember at the end of your last video for Round 1, you mentioned something about taking your world back into CAW to edit it before playing round 2? Would you be able to point me in the direction of the tutorial you used to do this? I'd love to try this with my new town so if you can remember where you found it that would be great! Thanks!
There is this, tutorial. I did manage to fix some of the routing issues but any changed I did on lots, didn’t happen, so when I put them back into the game, the changes were not there. So my attempt was only half succesfull.
Sandy has done more editing on her world after she started playing, so she might know how to do it better :)
Editing a played town in CAW
Sadly, I have no miracle solutions for this. :(
I had to re-install all my lots and all my Sims after the CAW modifications, because the changes didn’t show otherwise, even after having cleaned the world caches. :(
That’s why I haven’t sent Sandy Valley back into CAW for years. Too much hassle to reinstall everything. :/
Around my Sims | Rocheplate
I made a page at my blog about the new town I’m working on, based on my friend Rachel’s New Rochelle world.
It’s a work-in-progress, but you might find fun to see how I build towns (with only rectangles… *chuckle*). Many things will change! It took me five years to NOT complete Sandy Valley, and I only started working on Rocheplate this summer, so… *lol* we’re far from the end! ;)
You’ll also be able to meet some of the first citizens of the city.
Around the Sims 3 | Good morniiiiiing!
It all started by someone requesting a toaster. I was eager to draw one, because I hadn’t any in my game. But you begin to know me, right? One toster became two, because, even if I like the look of the big american toaster, I also wanted a more frenchy one. So, I meshed the toaster I have in my kitchen. Also, I was missing a coffee machine with a jug, so I made one. Plus a kettle. And an electric one too, just because. Plus toasts to go with the toasters… and here we go, I ended up with a tiny set called “Good morning!” ;)
Site is back!
Pfff, I think it’s now safe to say Around the Sims 3 is back online!
Thank you for your patience & hugs! ;)
Around the Sims 3 is down for maintenance, and hopefully, it will be the last time before a loooooong time!!! (geeez, I had managed to spend 14 years online with very few down times, but this month is the worst of all!!! *facepalm* I’m sorry for this!)
Around my Sims | Chronicles of Sim-October
Sandy Valley citizens have been a bit traumatized by all the changes implied by the Against-Plan Crash, so, to change everyone’s mind, a trip has been organized for the primary school kids to that new town I’m building, Rocheplate-sur-Ydnas. Guess what the first lot I built? A fun park, called La Vogue, which is the place where I put all the Store sets I can never find a use anywhere else! :D
Sim-October is also about the Bonnefoy sisters, and those parents who have to live with their children, since the closure of the boarding school… (yep, Tatiana but also Thorton).
