Around the Sims 3 | Pierre Chareau’s objects

Pierre Chareau is a french architect and designer who lived during the first half of the twentieth century, mostly known for La Maison de Verre (you can watch a video about that house here). What can I say? I love his work. I love how everything he made looks industrial but very elegant, and how it’s made to be used and to be handy. As I’ve made so many IKEA stuff for my Sims though IKEA is in my budget, I thought I could also create a couple of Chareau’s objects, as I can be sure to never own any of them, so let’s allow our Sims to!

Around the Sims 3 | Chocolate shop display for the Baker’s Bazaar Collection
A tiny update with a new version of the Chocolate shop display (scroll to the end of the page) made to be compatible with the EA Store set Baker’s Bazaar.
Message me if you think I have forgotten to update anything for that Baker’s Bazaar! ;)

Around the Sims 3 | DIY Plants

When I meshed some pen pots on my previous updates (here and there), with spring knocking at my door, I felt like recycling those pots to put plants in, instead of pens & pencils. So I’ve used EA plants to create smaller plants for these pots.
I might create more pots, or more plants, or different size plants in the future. Feel free to create your own pots or plants if you’re an object creator! :)

I’m the wort Simblr owner ever, I know! After one week without Internet, I disappeared again for another week, and now that I’m back home, I still haven’t tried to catch up with your amazing posts. Baaaaaaaaad me. :p

Around the Sims 3 | Desk Accessories #2

More pens, more pots, mail organizer, papers… well, in short: stuff for your Sims desks.

Around the Sims 3 | Desks & Accessories #1

For years, I’ve been needing stuff to decorate my Sims desks, but I kept postponing because of more urgent projects, but here we go! Desk accessories!
First with pens & pen pots, that I split into two different objects to have more colors options. Pots have 2 or 3 channels, plus some stencils (as shown above).
Also, a came-back of the IKEA theme with the Expedit desk, plus an IKEA box, just because.

Some of the objects shown on the preview will be available on next update.

NOTE: I’ll be offline all next week long, so don’t get upset if you send me a message and that I don’t reply. I won’t be able to before the 16-17th of March.

Around the Sims 3 | Baby Comfort

When I first used the EA playmat, coming with the Midnight Hollow toy machine, I was very disappointed. It had nothing from a “playmat”! Sims just put the baby on, and that’s it. The baby doesn’t even get an useless “play” moodlet or whatever. I thought “geez, but that’s a simple blanket!!!”. Second thought: “oooooh, a blanket to put a baby on, that’s nice!”
So here’s a couple of "things" where your Sims can put their babies on: a blanket, a bassinet, a daybed; all these cloned from the EA Playmat. It means it’s also a portable object that your Sim can drop in one’s inventory to use anywhere.

All these items can work in your game, even if you don’t own the Store items, IF you read the instructions and download the required files!

See also the IKEA playmat I had made for the IKEA Advent calendar! :)

Around the Sims 3 Update | This & That

A tiny break in my toddler objects madness (but don’t worry, they’ll be back on next update), just because I was in an even more urgent need of a couple of various objects.

1) With the sim-spring hitting my game, I felt like re-tweaking the park of my town, but I felt like I couldn’t play the Sims anymore if I hadn’t benches and trash like in the Parc du Luxembourg. So I made them (and you can visit my park here, if you’re curious about it!)

2) I opened a new restaurant in town, and really needed some lighted menus for the streets and walls. So I made them (in 12 variations… yes, one never has too many restaurants in town! ;))

3) Some time ago (I’m not very quick to answer requests… ask Dee, she had waited for like a full year before I made a bakery… ;D), Lisen asked me if I could make my small IKEA paintings as surface frames, so I made them! (with a bonus “beer pong” poster I made a while back for one of my Sims…)

Around the Sims 3 | Maternity Room

If you know about my game by reading my non-stories, you might know I have currently two pregnant Sims in town. Actually, one of them gave birth already in the old hospital room I’ve been playing with for YEARS, and all of sudden, I felt I needed to improve that bedroom for the next future mother! So, I’ve added few new functional objects for maternity hospital bedroom, like one-tile baby cribs, new changing table, baby monitors… Of course, all these items can be used at home too.
I have at least one more update planned about babies and toddlers… Then, once my newborns will be satisfied, I’ll be back to bars & restaurants… ;D

Around the Sims 3 | Playpens

Another small update for our youngest Sims! After having made some stuff for babies last week, here’s now a little collection of playpens for toddlers, all these items can work in your game, even if you don’t own the Store items, IF you read the instructions and download the required files!
More items for babies and toddlers are coming!

Note that I haven’t drawn any abacus because I found it too huge, so the kids are moving nothing. I’ll probably make something with abacus in the future, though.

Around the Sims 3 | Baby Stuff!

Finally a new update! For the first time in 13 years or so of simming, I’ve spent a whole month without meshing! I guess I’ve been a bit burnt out by my Ikea advent calendar! :D

But, I’ve been playing and my Sims are having babies. I first thought “cool, I’m going to be able to use these neat Store items to spice up my babies life!”, but when I saw the baby swing, I thought it was time to go back to “work” and to mesh something new! So, you’ll find baby swings and a changing table, all these items can work in your game, even if you don’t own the Store items, IF you read the instructions and download the required files!
