Why garage doors hate me so much?! *sob*
I’ve been struggling with this thing for days, and only managed to make it decorative, as the animation for the opening door didn’t fit.
It’s a 2-tiles door, that is made to be put “mirrored” to look like a 4-tiles door.
But, mirrored, it gets all dark… *sobs again*
Does anyone have a suggestion to fix it? *puppy eyes* It looks OK if the building isn’t completely closed, or if there’s no roof.

Wait, garage doors were supposed to be animated in the Sims 3?!!! They have a closed and open states?!!!! But it doesn’t work, right?

WOOOT! When I began to mesh this, I wasn’t sure I’d be able to make it, but it doesn’t turn so bad! Still few adjustments, but YEAH!! Not even too heavy on vertices (2000 poly/2500 faces). *happy dance*

The Jules Verne Park, fun park (and still WIP)

Located under the Eiffel tower, that’s probably one of my weirdest lots… I usually build stuff inspired by real places (even if, at the end, it doesn’t look like any real place! :p), but for that park, I just went wild. I wanted it to fit with the Eiffel tower structure, so I went for a kind of fake 19th century feeling, with objects supposedly inspired by Jules Verne’s novels.

It might change again, because I’m not satisfied with the whole thing. It’s a bit too empty. I have still a toy shop area to add. And more stuff, but I don’t know what yet! :D

The last picture is the park restaurant, at the first floor.

Roller Skate at the Eco-District
I’ve moved the roller skate “ring”(*) from a car park to a plazza of the Eco-District. I’ve plonked a tree in the middle of the ring, but as Sims always make cirles and never seem to use its middle, it doesn’t disturb them at all! Great, because I hate the room those rings can take! :D
(*): I actually use my “sign roller skate ring”.

WIP - The Eco-District in Sandy Valley

I’ve been working a bit more on my new district (eco-friendly, but modern, which is not my style at all, and vaguely industrial… post-industrial, if you consider it’s eco-friendly! ;p))

Copying Sara, I’ve finally built my new high-school there. I needed one, as my school was getting too small to host a pre-school (this idea being stolen to Soil! ;)), but I wasn’t sure where to put it. Downtown was too busy already, so why not this new district. *shrug*

Sim-Tito will be sure to have many customers with the high-school on the same lot as the Eco-Café! :)

There will be a couple of residential lots (2, 3 or 4), all built from the same shell.

So, here’s the Eco-Café, a place where Sims can drink all kind of herbal drinks or eat a tofu-dog, but where they can also crop some herbs from the community herbs garden.
This is a major WIP as ivy look silly as it is now, and as I suck at building anything modern… But huh, here’s the first “shot”! :D
You’ll hear again about that Eco-Café because I’ve been meshing new objects for it! :p

Side-note: Sorry to not be much online lately, but RL has been busy and as I’ll have a tiny surgery next week, I will still be a bit absent at least till wednesday. But I plan to upload an ATS3 update on Friday! :)
